The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises has issued a  Clarification letter dated 28th September 2021 regarding Financial Year of which the data of Investment, Turnover and Export shall be collected from the IT Department and GSTN for effecting Classification and registration of MSMEs on the Udyam portal . For the Financial year 2018-19, the timeline for filling of IT Return was July, 2019 and time may be required for further processing. In the case of companies/ enterprises, the accounts gets audited and completed by October or November, 2019. Also, the process of GST Return for the Financial Year 2018-19 follows similar timelines. Hence, frozen data of 2018-19 has been considered for MSME registration and classification during the year 2020-21. Data of 2019-20 will be considered for MSME registration and classification during the year 2021-22. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on 2nd August 2021 launched digital payment solution e-RUPI , a cashless and contactless instrument for digital payment. Prime Minister said that the eRUPI voucher is going to play a huge role in making Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) more effective in digital transactions in the country and will give a new dimension to digital governance. He said e-RUPI is a symbol of how India is progressing by connecting people’s lives with technology. e-RUPI is basically a digital voucher which a beneficiary gets on his phone in the form of an SMS or QR code. It is a pre-paid voucher, which he/she can go and redeem it at any centre that accepts it. For example, if the Government wants to cover a particular treatment of an employee in a specified hospital, it can issue an e-RUPI voucher for the determined amount through a partner bank. In continuation to  Notification No. 58/2015-2020 dated 12th February 2021 , DGFT has extended the last date of yearly modification/updation of Import Export Code (IEC) by another one month i.e. up to 31st July 2021 via Notification No. 11/2015-2020 dated 1st July 2021 . For the current year, No fees will be charged for updation of IEC upto 31st July 2021.
