CBDT | CORRIGENDUM to Notification which allows cash payments of more than ₹ 2 Lakhs to Hospitals

 


Earlier, on 7th May 2021, Central Government allows Hospitals to accept cash payments in excess of ₹2 Lakhs during 01/04/2021 to 31/05/2021 vide Notification No. 56/2021

Now, CG has issued a Corrigendum in respect of the said notification, thereby substituting the word "payee" in that notification with the word "payer". 

As per the said corrigendum, 

In the Notification of the Government of India, Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue, Central Board of Direct Taxes, published on 7th May, 2021, vide S.O. 1803(E), in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii), “payee” is to be read as “payer”.
